Maynooth Matches — Terms of Service

1. Who provides the service?

Maynooth Matches is operated by Shawn Maloney, an individual based in Ireland.

2. Eligibility and account creation

You must be 18 or older, satisfy any required age-assurance process, provide accurate details and follow these Terms and our Community Guidelines. University attendance is not required. You must not impersonate another person, evade a ban or create accounts to manipulate referrals or allowances.

You are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials and reporting suspected unauthorized use. Membership and profile publication may be subject to verification and moderation.

3. Profiles and member conduct

Share only content that you are entitled to use, keep profile information truthful and respect others' privacy and consent. You must not publish private information about other people, create deceptive profiles or use the app to harass, exploit, threaten, scam or discriminate. Public profile content must pass the applicable moderation process before appearing in Discovery.

We do not guarantee a match, response, meeting, relationship or the authenticity of another user's statements. Exercise care when communicating or meeting offline.

4. Features and free allowances

The service may offer Likes, Passes, Super Likes, matches, messages, Campus Crush and referrals. Free regular Likes initially start at 20 per Europe/Dublin calendar day, with up to 10 additional regenerated Likes subject to the displayed rules and authoritative backend limits. Other free entitlements are shown in the app and enforced by the service.

Campus Crush: One free nomination cycle lasts 168 hours; removing the nomination early does not reset its cooldown. Nominations are private, and only the applicable matching outcomes are revealed. Referrals may award additional bonus Likes to qualifying users, subject to anti-fraud rules and any stated expiry.

Campus Plus is Coming Soon: No paid subscriptions, purchases or payment processing are offered at the initial launch. Features, allowances and availability may change prospectively with appropriate notice.

5. Matches and communications

Matches and messages are available only under the application's eligibility and safety rules. Members can block, report or unmatch. We may restrict communications when needed for safety or legal reasons. Messages and interactions must not be used to threaten, manipulate, exploit or harass others.

6. Your content and the licence you grant

You retain any rights you own in your photographs, text and other submitted material. You grant the operator a non-exclusive, limited, royalty-free licence to host, reproduce, process, moderate and display the content only as reasonably necessary to provide, secure and improve the contracted service and handle lawful safety obligations, subject to the Privacy Policy and applicable law. This is not permission to sell members' photographs or use them in unrelated advertising.

The operational licence ends when the content is deleted except where lawful restricted retention is necessary.

7. Reporting, enforcement and appeals

We may remove content, limit features, suspend or terminate accounts where reasonably necessary to enforce these Terms, protect users or comply with the law, subject to applicable notice, complaint and redress rights. Users can report behaviour in the app or through support. Appeals may be submitted through the available in-app process or support@maynoothmatches.com.

For urgent danger, contact emergency services. Maynooth Matches is not an emergency response provider.

8. Account deletion

You may request account deletion in app settings or through https://maynoothmatches.com/delete-account. Identity verification may be required for external requests. Your account will be removed according to the Privacy Policy, including any legally justified restricted safety or compliance retention.

9. Availability and changes

We aim to provide a reliable service but do not promise uninterrupted access. We may maintain, update or suspend functionality when reasonably necessary for security, reliability or compliance. Material changes to these Terms will be communicated as required.

10. Liability and applicable law

Nothing in these Terms removes rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded under applicable Irish or EU consumer law. These Terms are governed by Irish law, except that mandatory consumer rights and protections under the law of a user’s country of residence remain unaffected. Nothing excludes liability for fraud, deliberate wrongdoing, death or personal injury resulting from negligence, or any other liability that cannot legally be excluded. We are responsible for our own failures to the extent provided by applicable law, but cannot guarantee other members’ conduct or a particular dating outcome.
